The Amazons Australia - Adventure Racing World Series

                 All Women's Stage Adventure Race

What is an Adventure Race?

Traditionally adventure racing includes trekking, mountain biking, and paddling although races can incorporate a multitude of other adventurous activities. Where competitors need to have specific skills for any of these other disciplines, these are usually specified by the event organisers in advance, so that competitors have plenty of time to develop their skills and practice. Navigation with a map and compass is one of the key components of adventure racing, so competitors should be able to navigate on foot, bike and on the water using only the maps provided by the event organisers.

The Amazons Australia in 2025 is being conducted as a stage race which means that racing will take place over a number of stages and have a start and finish time each day. There will be no night racing in the Amazons Australia however participants will still be required to carry all of the mandatory equipment for personal safety.
